The grant-giving charity, British Gas Energy Trust, has appointed Auriga Services Ltd as its new Grants Management Service Provider following a robust and competitive tender process.

Helen Charlton, Chair of British Gas Energy Trust said “We are glad to have completed the process and are delighted with the result. We are very pleased that Auriga shares our values and is dedicated towards helping people who are in financial need.”

The British Gas Energy Trust  was established in 2004 by British Gas as an independent Charitable Trust, and remains the largest  of its nature in the UK and is focused on contributing to the relief of poverty, with a particular focus on helping alleviate fuel poverty. It delivers through direct access grant programmes for individuals and families, as well as through the funding of 17 third-sector organisations from across the UK, who deliver a variety of in-depth money advice programmes & projects within communities.

Jessica Taplin, the newly appointed CEO of the British Gas Energy Trust said “This marks a new era for the British Gas Energy Trust, the Trustees and I look forward to working with Auriga Services, and our funder British Gas to amplify the impact and reach of the Trust, in order to continue in our aim to alleviate fuel poverty”.

Auriga Services Ltd, based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands employs over 65 people, is a specialist company supporting those with money worries.
